I live in Routt County and am writing to urge you to reject maps being pushed by Commissioners Barnett and Kottwitz and support maps drawn by nonpartisan staff. Thankyou.

Please take a stand for transparency by rejecting any maps that could be tarnished by the ongoing, unreported lobbying to gerrymander legislative districts for the GOP. I urge you to reject the maps being pushed by Commissioners Barnett and Kottwitz and support maps drawn by nonpartisan staff.

Comment:

We voted to have an independent commission established to create a fair and impartial reflection of Colorado in regards to drawing maps for our congressional and legislative districts. I fully expect the will of the voters to be adhered to! I am sick of the attitude of lying, cheating and stealing in the interest of party over politics. As a retired educator who taught history and civics, the will of the people is key in keeping a healthy democracy. Due to the willful ignorance of a minority of usurpers, our democracy is on life support! Stop it now! Do what is honest and right. Follow the will of the independent commission that was duly elected by the people!

Reject maps being pushed by Commissioners Barnett and Kottwitz and support maps drawn by nonpartisan staff. That is why the Commission was demanded by the public through a public vote. They cannot be successful if we want to believe in transparent and fair government.

I want to thank the Colorado independent redistricting commission for all their hard work! I urge your group to keep with the present state district map and not be subverted by Republicans underhanded attempts to gerrymander it. This is happening across the country where Republicans are trying to deny the democratic fundamentals of our constitution through gerrymandering. Please don’t let them succeed in Colorado! Thanks Charles Volkmann

Leave the districting alone! Gerrymandering may be in your personal current interest, but you can still be defeated - and you will be - if you pervert the legislative process.

Comment:

Please do not accept redistricting maps drawn by Commissioners Barnett and Kottwitz, but support maps by the non-partisan staff. Kottwitz and Barnett are trying to gerrymander to insure their party's control of state House and Senate. This is totally undemocratic. Their tactics are underhanded and bullying.

Comment:

Hello, My understanding is that the professional staff for the redistricting commission has submitted a plan to our State Supreme Court. My hope is that plan will be adopted without further tinkering by individual commissioners. I believe that the professional staff made every effort to create a balanced plan, which is the essential mission of the redistricting process. Respectfully Submitted, Thomas Coogan Arvada, CO
