Dear Commissioners - Thank you for submitting a proposed redistricting plan developed by nonpartisan Commission staff to the Colorado Supreme Court on Tuesday. I understand that Commissioners Barnett and Kottwitz are attempting to alter that plan, inserting partisanship into that process. I urge you to reject their attempt. It is vital Colorado retain a fair, nonpartisan approach to elections.

We MUST NOT allow a partisan commissioners to bias the districts so that election results do not reflect the will of the people. Take whatever measures are required to protect against this kind of election manipulation.

The ongoing and unreported lobbying to gerrymander our state is unconscionable, anti-democratic, corrupt, and violates their oath to address the needs and interests of residents.
If there is concern about winning future elections, perhaps the Republican party might consider putting forth policies that reflect the will of the people.
