I am writing to express my concern that there may be some shenanigans at play from partisans in the submission of last-minute re-districting maps to the State Supreme Court. Please be watchful for this and discard any that come through the Independent Commission. I voted for it because I am sick and tired of partisan manipulation of voting districts to favor themselves electorally.

We the people of Colorado voted to rely on an independent body to shape legislative redistributing. I am outraged that commissioners Barnett and Kotwitz are trying to undermine process in a partisan effort to favor their own political preferences. We have suffered from gerrymandering long enough. Please reject their partisan efforts.

I followed the work of the independent redistricting group. What a great job ordinary citizens have done struggling to be as fair as possible with the info that they had!!! I was not completely happy with everything BUT I realize that this was the best that they were able to do with all the time constraints involved. Now, I am VERY concerned with any possible interference by any political entity to change the final plan. This should not be allowed under any circumstances!!!!

I have been so proud of the way the Independent Redistricting Committee has operated up to now. The current Republican legislative Redistricting Commissioners Hunter Barnett (R) and Aislinn Kottwitz (R) are trying to shove through a last-minute set of maps to the Supreme Court that would fundamentally alter the make-up of the state senate and house, almost certainly ensuring control for Colorado Republicans over the next decade. This is a mockery of everything that Independent Redistricting Commissions are meant to stand for.Thank you.

I attended several of the legislative hearing committees..it was obvious to me that the Republicans were attempting to control all aspects of redistricting..preliminary maps for legislative do not appear to be neutral, with evenly divided parties in each. I applaud the attempt to redistricting by actual cotizens, but the process appears flawed and appointments to the committees should not be random.
