Comment:
I am 100% appalled that bold partisanship has reared its ugly head in this commission, threatening to tarnish the good work of many.
Commissioners Barnett and Kottwitz are making a naked power play. Please support the legislative maps drawn by nonpartisan staff instead.

It is time to stop Republicans from stealing elections with their tricks like gerrymandering. We want districts to be fairly drawn.

Please stay true to the original intent of the bipartisan redistricting board. Do NOT allow partisan dark money to highjack the process!

I am not concerned about my community.
What I am concerned about is one party’s attempt to bypass the Independent Commission.
Do not let the republicans who no longer abide by the rules steal the Colorado Senate and House.

I voted for a non-partisan body to draw the new boundaries and I believe the final set of maps from that body reflect an honest and fair map. Please reject Hunter Barnett and Aislinn Kottwitz's attempt to subvert the non-partisan body's recommendations. Thanks, G.

Please do not let partisan politics change the maps you released earlier this week. To do so will make a mockery of your work!
Thanks for all your work-Jeanine

Comment:
Republican legislative Redistricting Commissioners Hunter Barnett (R) and Aislinn Kottwitz (R) are working with non-disclosing and unregistered GOP operatives lobbying to shove through a last-minute set of maps to the Supreme Court that would fundamentally alter the make-up of the state senate and house, almost certainly ensuring control for Colorado Republicans over the next decade. This is a mockery of everything that Independent Redistricting Commissions are meant to stand for.

Comment:
I understand that the two Republican members of the redistricting committee are submitting a separate plan for the legislative districts separate from the full committee's map. The committee was formed to be bipartisan, not to have a plan made up by two Republicans and their cronies.

Comment:
Dear Commissioners:
I would ask the commissioners to reject maps being submitted by Hunter Barnett and Aislinn Kottwitz as they are an attempt to gerrymander the Colorado Senate and House in favor of Republican candidates.
Sincerely,
Patricia McLaughlin
