If you allow redistricting to unfairly and unethically favor Republicans over Democrats, as the dirty-trick Republicans, Hunter Barnett and Aislinn Kottwitz, propose, not only their names, but all of your names on the Commission will go down in infamy as weak and unprincipled enemies of democracy.

We voted for a fair open commission to draw districts in the state. It is time we returned to professionalism, transparent and within the laws agreed to. If I wanted to live in a dictatorship I would look to move to Russia. I am extremely tired of groups wanting to undermine our representative democracy.

Hello. I have just learned about the recent maps submitted and promoted by Commissioners Barnett and Kottwitz. I am disturbed by reports these maps resulted from ongoing, unreported lobbying to gerrymander legislative districts for the GOP. I am a strong proponent of nonpartisan redistricting and transparency through this process. I urge you to take a stand against this and any other redistricting maps drawn up by partisan staff. Thank you for taking my input into consideration.

Acceptance of maps drawn by GOP operatives would be an absolute shame--and a sham. The redistricting commission was tasked with honoring communities of interest. This does away with that priority and instead seeks to elevate minority rule across Colorado.

I commend the Colorado Independent Redistricting Commission in their development of maps that resist an unfair advantage to either party. This was the intent of the people of Colorado in the adoption and composition of the independent redistricting commission. Last minute attempts to gerrymander the districts should be denied and resisted in the courts. We are fortunate to have 10 past years and 10 future years of this development system. Other states intentionally or unintentionally develop unfairly gerrymandered districts which do not reflect the true will of their voters and are, in my opinion, corrupt.
