"I’d like to say thank you to the commissioners and staff for their hard work on the second staff map. I very much agree with the direction taken by the commission, particularly in regards to Routt, Eagle, and Summit counties. Due to their heavy reliance on tourism and the ski communities that play such a vital role in each of these county’s local economies, I believe it is important that they remain together in order for residents to be fairly represented."

We submit these comments regarding what seems to be an manipulative lopping off of the community of Loveland from our interests as a Front Range city. Populated areas of Larimer County, as well as the City or Greeley in Weld, share the common interests of the North Front Range that are not reflected in the current plan shown online. Urbanization and all of the issues of water, transportation, and land use are common policy concerns that link the North Front Range corridor into a community. To artificially carve out the two cities of Loveland and Greeley from this community robs us from shared interests and also over influences the often different rural policy interests. Linkinhg communities to the east, in mountain areas, and the Arkansas Valley better meets rural needs. The alternative to group the Arkansas Valley within the rural Northeastern Colorado area and restore the urban areas along I-25 will support the needs of our urbanized community as well as less populated portions of the state. Please don’t ignore our common needs! Respectfully submitted, Ed and Nancy Brigden

I like the Schuster map as CD 3 will be a competitive district. Our reps have ignored us in Steamboat with opposing views because they don’t need our vote. Making Cd3 competitive makes our reps more accountable to their constituents.

HR, Roxborough, and Lone Tree need to be with the Denver Metro area ‘s south suburbs not yet the plains. We’re a different community with different values.

Adopt the Schuster map, it is equitable for both parties and maintains the closest balance.

Please keep Highlands Ranch with Littleton and Centennial. Our suburban community is indistinguishable from the rest of the south metro suburbs and we deserve representation by keeping us with similar communities. We have no similarities to the rural eastern plains. Please keep us as part of metro Denver as there are zero farmers in Highlands Ranch and most of us work, shop, and enjoy restaurants, etc in Highlands Ranch, Littleton, and Centennial. By contrast, Parker and Castle Rock are geographically distant and distinct from the metro area with a more rural community. Highlands Ranch has never been separated from the Denver Metro area and has attracted people who work in Denver and live a similar lifestyle to those in Littleton and Centennial. Please give us fair representation.

Keep Eagle county in CD3. We have little in common with Boulder county and should remain in CD2. Eagle county has more common interests associated with the western slope counties. Our voices and opinions will be silenced If we are lumped in with the more populous Boulder county.

I support a map that keeps Pueblo County with the San Luis Valley and that includes as much agricultural/water interests as can be competitively justified. I know that historically the Lower Arkansas River Valley had significant mining interests (especially coal!) but those days are past. The the CD3 map that linked the entire Western Slope was overly broad. Pueblo County (and other Southeastern counties) no longer have the mining interests of the Northwestern part of the state (the northern part of the Western Slope). We have many families here in Pueblo County that have ancestral ties to the San Luis Valley. Pueblo has long been a regional resource both for the lower valley communities and for the San Luis Valley for health care, banking, and shopping. It is time to solidify those economic and social interests in a more cohesive Congressional District.

I want to thank the commissioners for the public consideration of the September 15th second staff met we need to see that the table to represent rural Colorado and this map covers Us The continuous geographics has constitutional population and equal communities of interest providing balance communities of interest for proper representation of Western slope. Compact districts are properly represented and minimize the imbalance of competitive districts. Thank you Donald

As a long time resident of Highlands Ranch, I encourage you to choose a redistricting plan that joins our community with other south metro area communities. Our community has become increasingly diverse with a focus on service, medical and tech jobs. Many of our residents work, shop, and attend events in nearby Littleton and Centennial. I have seen the shift over the past 20 years from a semi-rural to sububan community and as a resident my concerns focus on community planning, education, quality environment and job development. I do not believe that my community will be well served by a Congressional District that includes the Eastern Plains. Just as Highlands Ranch needs to be included in metro area districts, the plains with rural and agricultural needs should be included with similar areas of our state so that their community needs can be represented in Congress.
