I very strongly support the Schuster Map as the guideline for redistricting.

It makes no sense for the densely populated, planned suburban community of Highlands Ranch to be in a shared district with the rural agricultural community of the eastern plains of Colorado. There are little shared interests that would unite our disparate communities. Regarding public policy, it would be an arduous task to align in order to reach common goals and interests. I see no benefit to either community.

I like the so-called Schuster Map. It not only makes a Southern Colorado district with Latino and Native heritage intact and more powerful, it creates three competitive districts in the process - more competitive than the Second Staff Map.

Hi - just want to comment on the proposed move to include Highlands Ranch, a large population suburb of Denver, in the same legislative district as the eastern CO plains. We have very little in the way of common needs or interests with that area of the state. Please keep us in CO6 where our priorities have been well represented. Thank you-

I do not want to be considered part of the “Republic of Boulder”. The liberal foundation of Boulder is against my conservative view and we would prefer to be grouped with counties east and north of Boulder County.
Thank you for your consideration.

It makes no sense that Parker and northern Douglas County is included I. The eastern plains. There is no free in common with Centennial/ Arapahoe than with the agricultural areas east. What a sham!

I have been researching the various maps for redistricting and the map from June called Preliminary Congressional Maps was the best. The southern district which is an agriculture area (The San Luis Valley) should not be divided and should remain as is. Please consider trying to keep the redistricting simplified so communities can unite with their needs and ideas.

I'm writing with concern that my neighborhood will be torn in half due to the proposed new line between Legislative District 11 and 13. We have always been cohesively represented by CD 11, as the western corner of Longmont.
Our neighborhood grade school, Hygiene, has served generations of our school kids, and this community of interest would be divided. My daughter went to Westview Middle School which is slated to be taken from our district, please do not divide that community and weaken our collective voice on school issues.
The areas around McIntosh Lake in northwest Longmont are geographically uniting. Together, we weathered the terrifying Flood together, and collectively turned to our representative of District 11 to understand our concerns and our needs for rebuilding. We are uniquely united in sharing the watershed of the St Vrain River and the infrastructure of major irrigation lake and ditch. Don't separate us, please!

To Whom it may Concern,
While some people that I know and others that I don't are pushing for the vote on redistricting to join us up with 'like-minded' Boulderites, there are those of us who completely disagree! This has always been a more rural community, away from Boulder (many by choice!) and pushing us under their voting wing would be discourteous to say the least. It would feel like we were being forced upon in a most brutal way. I DO NOT feel my voting tendencies or community concerns are in any way aligned with the liberals of Boulder.
Please allow us to think, speak, and vote for ourselves without the bullying tactics of the Boulder liberals. We are a small, independent community who should be allowed to govern ourselves and not be bunched together with people who (many of us) have little in common with.
Let Broomfield be Broomfield!
