I was greatly encouraged at the inception of the Independent Redistricting Commission. I have long held the opinion that the true heart and soul of a democracy lies in the workings of local government and that local government is the most direct representation 'of the people'. The degree to which this representation is true and fair determines the foundation of our national governing bodies.
I was disappointed to hear that the redistricting maps prepared by the non-partisan redistricting commission may be in danger of being tainted by non-disclosing, unregistered GOP lobbyists. These maps are being pushed forward by Commissioners Barnett and Kottwitz.
I am writing to encourage you, and plead with you to maintain the non-partisan intent of the original commission design and accept NO maps that may have been impacted in any way by unreported gerrymandering. You have taken an admirable and important step towards preserving our democracy. Please don't let these attempts reverse your original goals.

The voters approved a nonpartisan committee to draw this new map and it has been completed. I am extremely upset to see that two Relpublican committee members are attempting to change that map by nefarious means. I beg you to reject maps being pushed by Commissioners Barnett and Kottwitz and support maps drawn by nonpartisan staff. We are depending on you to do the right thing.

Hello,
I have heard of the Republican legislative Redistricting Commissioners Hunter Barnett and Aislinn Kottwitz have been working with non-disclosing and unregistered GOP operatives lobbying to shove through a last-minute set of maps to the Supreme Court that would fundamentally alter the make-up of the state senate and house, I am asking you to reject maps being pushed by Commissioners Barnett and Kottwitz and support maps drawn by nonpartisan staff. The nonpartisan, neutral redistricting staff was directed by our votes to be created so we could have a fair and balanced districting and avoid what so many states are doing with gerrymandering to suppress votes and suppress democracy.
Thank you for your time and listening to the voters of Colorado by keeping the maps drawn by the nonpartisan staff.
Heather

The congressional redistricting map that is affecting Eagle County needs to have the community as whole intact, at a minimum the I-70 corridor. This area is geographically connected with the Gore and Eagle Valleys and the community is one that works and lives throughout this corridor. From Vail to Dotsero, this entire area needs to be in on congressional district, we are one district community. Our county is not like our bordering counties, anything that effects the Gore and Eagle Valley is felt throughout. We need to be a united community in whatever congressional district that may be in.

I urge you to take a stand for transparency by rejecting any maps that could be tarnished by the ongoing, unreported lobbying to gerrymander legislative districts for the GOP.

Please support the maps drawn by the non-partisan committee and reject those being pushed by Barnett and Kottwitz. Our voting districts should be non partisan and not gerrymandered.
