The final map isn’t representative of the product produced earlier on. Go back and round out the rough edges of that preliminary map. The one being pushed currently on further deepens the rural urban chasm. Not a healthy outcome.

I have lived in Johnstown, Colorado for 21 years. It is a community based on and surrounded by agriculture. I absolutely do not believe that grouping my community with bigger cities that do not understand or value our agricultural lifestyle values is appropriate or would represent my area. Urban problems like crime, homeowners associations, public transportation, homelessness, and urban sprawl are not the main concerns that my agriculture- centered community deals with. However, by grouping my community with these urbanized areas my voice and the voices of my neighbors will undoubtedly become lost. When cities and towns like Erie, longmont, Boulder or Broomfield have higher population density their voices overrun the voices and needs of my community. We should absolutely be grouped with the rural and agricultural communities of Weld County that we are a part of rather than be placed with communities that do not in any way represent our interests or views.

As a moffat county resident I DO NOT support adding Boulder County to out districting. I do not feel the Western Slope will be heard and any rights we MIGHT have will be lost.

The latest map looks to be acceptable given the location of the State's population. Geographically the State is divided up logically. With the exception of CD's 1 and 5 all Representatives will need to figure out how to both represent urban, new growth, and rural constituencies. This will, I believe, result in more balanced representation in the State delegation. I support the proposed map.

Thank you for taking into consideration the shared community interests expressed by representatives of Archuleta County. This new map format represents our region concerns and interests in a more inclusive way.

I oppose the redistricting of the Colorado congressional map that puts the interests of rural voters last. We are interested in protecting the voice of all Coloradans, not just urban voters. The redistricting map will clearly favor democrat voters and will harm Colorado farming and fracking. Awful policies, such as the reintroduction of wolves to the state of Colorado which clearly harm Colorado farming and fracking, will continue unopposed and without balance of interests. As a long-time Colorado tax-payer and voter, I oppose the Congressional redistricting.

We as a free society have a CONSTITUTION that is based on godly principles and when we go against it we go against God and people God given rights, and districting to benefit a few hurts all in the long run,so might ought to consider this in your decision on redistricting.

I am not in favor of the map proposed most recently in September. As a citizen of Fort Collins, I feel that switching Fort Collins from District 2 to District 4 is not a good match and would negatively impact Fort Collins citizens' ability to be heard by our representative. I believe the rest of the map is fine, but excluding Fort Collins from the rest of Larimer county seems unreasonable to me. Fort Collins is the county seat and most populous city in Larimer county. Removing it from Larimer county's district while also expanding District 2 to include northwestern Colorado would severely impact Democratic support in District 2 - a district that has historically been one of the most liberal in the state, if not the nation. While it may seem that keeping Fort Collins in the same district as Boulder county would prove to be too Democratic, I feel that adding the northwestern counties (such as Jackson, Moffat, and Rio Blanco, that all lean Republican,) is enough to provide some balance. The needs of people living in eastern counties like Yuma, Cheyenne, Lincoln, and Sedgwick are drastically different from those of people in Fort Collins. Even Weld county, which is incredibly close to Fort Collins, has a drastically different political sphere and economic landscape than that of Fort Collins. Fort Collins' economy is centered on Colorado State University and the numerous high-profile technology and information companies the university has attracted. We are considered one of the most progressive cities in the nation, and I do not trust District 4 representative Ken Buck to understand and properly advocate for progressive measures. We want improved resources for homeless people, commitments to sustainable energy, to remove barriers for marginalized people to live happy lives (especially people of color), and measures to protect our natural land. The needs of a largely rural, agricultural population that relies heavily on cattle, natural gas, and oil do not prioritize those things. In fact, with regards to oil and gas, they are directly opposed to changes people in Fort Collins would like to see for our state. I don't think the map needs an entire overhaul. There are a lot of things I do like about it, such as the creation of District 8 to better unify and support the Latinx population in Colorado. But I wholeheartedly feel that moving Fort Collins out of District 2 - especially separating it from the rest of Larimer county - is a bad decision. On a personal level, I have never even visited most of the area that would be the new District 4. I know very little about day to day life there, and I do not feel connected to it as my local community. However, I have visited places in Boulder and Weld counties, and I feel that Boulder county is much more similar to Fort Collins than Weld is. I feel that my community includes Boulder moreso than Weld, despite Weld being physically closer. I would like to see an adjusted map that placed Fort Collins back into District 2.
