Please reject maps being pushed by Commissioners Barnett and Kottwitz. They are attempting to lock in control of our purple state by the GOP - THIS IS UNFAIR! I need representation by righteously elected candidate and reject this attempt at tyranny. Please support maps drawn by the nonpartisan staff. Let's keep Colorado FREE!

Comment:

The citizens of Colorado voted to put redistricting in the hands of a neutral, nonpartisan commission to reduce the corruption of partisan gerrymandering and set an example for other states to follow. The Commission has been working diligently to develop maps that are fair and reflect the interests of the citizens. The final version of the staff should be accepted as the official submission, not last minute alternatives produced by undisclosed lobbying. It is time for honesty and transparency.

Comment:

DO NOT allow Barnett and Kottwitz to create the gerrymandered redistricting. This is a political sickness from the Republicans because they cannot win without cheating and lying. There are decent and honest members of the commission in their attempt to benefit all Coloradans.

It has come to my attention that Commissioners Barnett and Kottwitz are are attempting to gerrymander the Colorado Senate and House, ensuring Republican control of the state assembly for the next decade. I urge you to reject maps being pushed by Commissioners Barnett and Kottwitz and support maps drawn by nonpartisan staff. Nothing is more important than having fair elections that allow all Coloradan votes to count.

Comment:

Please protect the integrity of Colorado legislative and congressional voting fairness by rejecting any last-minute redistricting maps inserted into our process of redistricting. Coloradans deserve transparency in this vital process, so please take a stand against the ongoing, unreported lobbying to gerrymander legislative districts for the GOP.

Comment:

Dear Commissioners, I have been told that some of the commissioners have decided to submit maps that were not drawn by the non-partisan Steph. I thought that we were supposed to be having a non-partisan commission. I do not understand how the commissioners could go against their mandate to be strictly non-partisan. I demand that the maps submitted must meet the criteria for nonpartisanship and be fully approved by the entire commission. Thank you

Thank you for your volunteer service to Colorado. It has been a long and challenging process. I live in Cortez, Colorado and have been involved in testifying both orally and in writing for a few months. As you come to the end of your work, I urge you to honor and show your respect for the people of Colorado by upholding the spirit AND the legal requirements of the legislation for which we voted, by resisting efforts by two Republican commissioners to legitimize the legislative maps drawn by dark money interests. This circumvents not only the spirit of the law but also the law itself. Their actions should be condemned by the other commissioners as dishonoring and polluting the integrity of the commission as a whole. It goes without saying, but I'll say it anyway, that the legislative maps drawn by the nonpartisan staff should be upheld, and those put forth by two of the Republican commissioners should be condemned as shameful.
