I support and encourage the adoption of the 3rd Staff Plan Legislative Maps for the Colorado Assembly Senate and House. Please reject maps being pushed by Commissioners Barnett and Kottwitz and support maps drawn by nonpartisan staff such as the 3rd Staff Legislative Map Plan. Please reject any maps that could be tarnished by the ongoing, unreported lobbying to gerrymander legislative district

Please use the independent commission maps to redistrict the state of Colorado. Do not let a Hunter Barnett and Aislinn Kottwitz, republican partisans push through their set of maps. Thank you.

In Colorado we have non-partisan, neutral redistricting staff research changes in demographics/ interests over the preceding decade and base recommendations for any changes in districting on fact not POLITICS for good reason. The purpose of redistricting is to adjust for changes in population over 10 years and to realign as needed interest e.g. agriculture, tourism areas, mining, etc which often changes with population shifts. Though redistricting has been wrongly used all over our country for particular political party gains this is completely immoral and unintended by our founding leaders! To prevent such gerrymandering is why we have Independent Redistricting Commissions! Those individuals who push partisan redistricting - gerrymandering- need to have their efforts rejected for their violation of our founding leaders push for balance and freedom for all and because they are only acting in their personal self-interest rather than the interest of all the citizens of Colorado. The efforts of Hunter Barnett and Aislinn Kottwitz need to be stopped cold and the recommendations of the non-partisan, neutral redistricting staff implemented. Additionally, Barnett and Kottwitz are reportedly working with non-disclosing, unregistered Republican lobbyists/ operatives to try to force the State Supreme Court to accept their gerrymandered maps over the non-partisan, neutral maps submitted by the non-partisan, neutral staff. This effort from Barnett and Kottwitz needs to be rejected! Thank you.

The 3rd map is more fair and equitable to Rural Southern Colorado. We have very specific water, ranching and farming needs unique to us, we need better representation!

Please reject Barnett and Kottwitz's gerrymandering - their maps are a blatant attempt to ensure Republican control of the house and senate for years to come. What we independents would like to see is fair representation for all voters in all districts.

Good day Commission, I am writing in regards to the proposed legislative map. I am a resident of Arvada and am currently in House District 27 and Senate District 19. Addressing both the Senate and House, and in light of the primary directive to keep communities of common interest together, I feel Arvada should be kept as whole as possible. I believe this is done well enough with the proposed Senate map. In particular, I applaud keeping the Adams county part of Arvada together with its larger Jefferson county community. However, per the current proposed House map, Arvada appears to be divided into 3 parts. This concerns me as Arvada and north Jeffco shares many common interests, agreements and special districts. This includes the Arvada Fire Protection District, the Apex Park and Recreation district, Standley Lake, the Jefferson County R-1 School District, Jeffcom 911, the Rocky Flats Stewardship Council, and ultimately the fundamental point that this community is strongly united as proud Arvadans. Dividing off South and Western Arvada into a separate District 24 and incorporating these neighborhoods with Wheat Ridge divides our community and, I feel, ignores the development, coordination, agreements and shared interests that have been put in place over the past several years. I feel a north/south division line with extension of the districts further west makes better sense than the current east/west proposal. This will keep Arvada divided only into two parts and bests keeps our shared interest community together. There is a current proposal by one my fellow community members of which I think makes good, sound sense. It is as follows: The first House District containing the City of Arvada should start at the southeast corner of Arvada and the southern boundary line should follow the southern boundary of the City of Arvada while the eastern line maps the boundary of the City northward. The northern boundary of that district should be an east-west line needed to create an appropriately population-sized district. The second House District for Arvada should start at the northern boundary of the first, proceeding northward to the Jefferson-Boulder County line. This proposal is the best way to honor our established relationships, common goals and give the best, most encompassing and fair representation that can be achieved. I strongly urge the commission to consider these points and proposals to keep Arvada a united, shared interest community to the greatest extent possible. Thank you for your time, Christopher Doll
