I am against any government or agency redistricting an area for political gain and/or as a way to control our people for your own greedy purposes. The power you are attempting to wield can be taken away if you choose to not listen to our voices.

Comment:

The new map is terrible for rural Colorado. Most rural districts have major urban populations drawn into them. This plan ignores rural Colorado, and rural Colorado interests. You as commissioners need to recognize rural Colorado as districts of community interests. Rural Colorado has policy concerns based on agriculture, employment, water needs, and supplies which are different from urban and suburban concerns. Please take this under advisement with these maps. Thank you.

I am a resident of rural Arapahoe county. After reviewing the proposed redistricting map, all I see is the manipulation of data to steal the voting voice of eastern Arapahoe county. Rural Colorado's views differ greatly from metro Denver and extending the boundary of District 6 to the eastern boundary of Arapahoe county silences thousands of votes. Reexamine your redistricting boundaries according to actual census data and not a political agenda Regards, Dan Rupple

Comment:

I strongly disagree with redistricting that gives the front range a disproportionate amount of votes rather than the rural counties.

I support this proposed district change for my area. The current map lumps us together with communities in the plains with a much more rural prospective. Although Las Animas County is far from the Colorado urban corridor, our interests and values certainly align better with the communities in this proposed map than with the far eastern plains areas.

Looking at the maps for redistricting it appears that rural areas are not being treated fairly.

Comment:

Our community is not spoken for by large metro areas. Rural communities are of value, and do not require larger metro areas to make decisions for these areas. If redistricting is required it should reflect a larger vote for smaller areas in compensation for large metro area votes.

I am from Jackson County, Colorado. I am so against what the redistricting is doing to us!!! It will be like we do not exist. We definitely will have no word in who gets elected to represent us. We are primarily Republican community being thrown into a TOTAL Democratic Boulder County and Larimer County district. What voice does that give rural communities in Colorado? No voice. I refuse to sit back and let this happen to our ranching community. We, the people of Northwestern Colorado should NOT be put in this position. This needs to be redrawn to leave rural voices to be heard and represented. You really think it is fair to go from Lauren Boebert-whom we elected to represent us to Joe Neguse???? NO WAY!!!!!!! Help preserve our voice. No to this redistricting map. NO!

Comment:

This is highly unfair. Diversity is something that needs to be treasured. But this map ignores diversity of thought. It lumps massive portions of our state into single districts. It does not give diverse thoughts a fair chance. Diversity between rural and urban ways of thinking should not be so diminished.

Comment:

To the Colorado Redistricting committee, I have seen and assessed the most recent redistricting maps you've released. I COMPLETELY DISAGREE with what you've most recently drawn. You've combined not only my area (Northern Colorado, Greeley and Windsor) with North Denver. This means that the largest agricultural and petroleum producer in the entire state of Colorado would be combined with the hugely liberal, north Denver area. I also notice that you've done this same split with ALL other drawn districts. Previous CD4 is joined in with Denver, as is previous CD3. This map completely skews away the interests of rural Colorado, accentuating that of liberal Denver at the same time. Your previously drawn districts, though not great, are FAR BETTER THAN YOUR CURRENT INCANTATION. WE RURAL COLORADANS WANT TO HAVE A VOICE IN GOVERNANCE FOR THE NEXT DECADE. YOUR current redistricting maps subvert our rural Colorado voice, and I will continue to work to oppose your committee's output. Robert Glenn 305 Poudre Bay Windsor, CO 80550
