What needs to be done is for all politicians to do the "right" thing for the state that makes all things "fair", but due to "ideology" and "false" beliefs, that ain't going to happen anymore in this country. People on the "Western Slope" are getting fed up with this sort of control the "Front Range" has over them, just because of the population difference.

I believe the redistricting should be a non-partisan effort to be as equally divided in the state of voters as we can to have the same amount of Republicans or Democrats in the same district let the people be the ones to choose our issues The voice of rural areas should not be squashed by the pure amount of people in the more populated areas If Colorado really wants to be a true leader in the way things are done across the country then we should take the politics out of redistricting

Dear Sir or Ma'am - We're stating our opposition to the current redistricting maps which appear to give additional political power to major metropolitan centers such as Denver at the expense of Colorado Rural Communities. It's critical that there be a balance between Colorado Urban and Rural areas to ensure all Coloradans, as well as economic issues, 2nd Amendment rights, etc., are properly represented, and no redistricting is done for the sole purpose of ensuring political advantage for any political party and/or cause. I hope that the redistricting only happens in the best interest of Colorado as a whole and not in an attempt to garner power by the Denver/metro area. Colorado is made of many voices and while Denver makes the most noise please do not attempt to suppress our fellow Coloradans, mostly of which are conservative.

we, here on the Western Slope, don't need any of our districts connected to anything considered the front range of Colorado. the front range ideas would over power the lives of people who do not want the policies promoted by Bolder etc. to run their lives. we get enough of it from the state, we don't need it in our back yard.

I support the most recently released state Congressional map. I am referring to the map released on September 3, 2021. 1. This map has received bipartisan support from the Colorado Neighborhood Coalition, the All on the Line group, and Fair Lines Colorado. 2. The newly downloaded Southern Colorado River Basins district has a cohesive community of interest. Statement of Support for the Southern Colorado River Basins District (SCRB) as a US Congressional District Common Geography, History, Culture, and Economy. This area is a cohesive Community of Interest. Geography and Economy. This area shares three watersheds: The Arkansas, San Juan, and Rio Grande Rivers. These rivers are of vast importance to the agricultural and tourist economies and the small towns of the region. Characteristics of this community. There is a large Hispanic/LatinX community that goes back several generations. There are three designated Hispanic Serving Institutions of higher education: Adams State, CSU Pueblo, and Pueblo Community College. Unfortunately, the SCRB is the most impoverished area of Colorado and desperately in need of excellent representation at the federal level. Fortunately, the SCRB is the developing Renewable Energy Capitol of Colorado. Medical facilities in Pueblo serve folks in the Arkansas river Valley. Fort Carson is in south El Paso County. Many of its families live in South El Paso County and Pueblo. Veterans are forced to go to the VA hospital in New Mexico. A strong federal representative could help bring a VA hospital to the SCRB. Only 65% of SCRB residents have High-Speed Internet compared to 85% of those outside the SCRB. This community needs help. The SCRB is a cohesive community of interest with many common needs and interests. Please support the designation of SCRB as a US Congressional District. The most recent maps for Summit County are a step backwards. I was strongly in favor of moving Summit County and Breckenridge in particular out of the Boulder representative district. For too many years, our voice has been drowned out by the huge population in the front range, this is finally a chance to include our voice with the other western slope communities that have the same concerns on water and land use issues that we do.

We need to keep the rural districts whole in order for fair representation of our interests and concerns!

Don’t do redistricting! Leave things the way they are and the way we want them! Stop trying to take our rights away!

I live in Douglas County, near the northern border with Jefferson county. I don’t want my district to be lumped with very rural parts of Colorado. I am concerned my urban issues will not be addressed adequately by someone that also represents such rural areas of the state (for example Sterling or Limón). I thought that the districts were supposed to keep groups of similar populations together? Then why throw such an urban area with such a remote rural area ? I’ve never even been to Limon or Sterling! There’s nothing there. My part of Highlands Ranch needs to be redistricted with other urban areas so that our votes have an impact for our urban issues. Stop assuming all of Douglas County needs to stay together. The northern portion of the county has grown considerably over the last 10 years . We are urban. We don’t belong with such large rural areas. Split Douglas County and add Highlands Ranch to the areas included with Jefferson county urban residents.
