This seems EXTREMELY suspicious and one more stab at the Rural Communities getting our voices muted. Please tell me how someone in urban Fort Collins has the right/knowledge etc. to make a decision for a rancher or farmer in Logan County? Doesn't it seem odd that Boulder County can be the voice for Moffat County? Who came up with these lines? How were they determined. It certainly wasn't on interests that unite the community, community public policy concerns, or geographic areas.........

Hi I feel that either by accident or on purpose changing districts 2 and 3 around is ridiculous the govt has gotten so far out of hand that the people of these districts are not getting proper representation by putting large metro cities with rural areas the needs and conditions are completely different how about making things fair people who live in boulder dont have the save needs as some one who lives in parachute Co. thankyou

By redistricting, the democratic party is cheating the citizens of fair and honest representation. I whole heartedly oppose all redistricting.

Why would we give the front range a bigger voice. Rural Coloradans need more if not just as much. This redistricting is a slap in the face to those that are barely heard already. I oppose this redistricting to the fullest extent.

In June, maps had been released that were discussed during hearings that were scheduled across the state. The commission has changed the maps, in an effort to prioritize the interests of the Denver Metro area. The Colorado Independent Congressional Redistricting Commission have decided to ignore the interests of rural Colorado by giving the Front Rage a stronger voice. I ask the commission to draw fair redistricting maps to benefit all Coloradans.

Malice or no malice, the current revised maps violate the integrity of Colorado voters. It's quite simple. My interests as an urban Front Range homeowner are quite different from those of our Eastern Colorado neighbors. In some cases, they may well be contrary interests. That doesn't make my interests, priorities or perspectives superior, and the districts should therefore reflect that. Leave the East to themselves. Let them do their thing, vote for their people who can properly prioritize the needs and perspectives of the rural communities. I'm sure we won't always agree, but doing the right thing by each community is simply the right thing to do. Jonathan Owen Monument, Colorado

Dear Commission: I am writing to state my complete disagreement and disappointment with your splitting off of the City of Fort Collins from the 2nd congressional district into the 4th. I believe that in doing so the people of Fort Collins will not have a fair opportunity for the kind of representation in congress that would truly represent the majority of citizens of Fort Collins. Fort Collins has become an urban and progressive city in Northern Colorado. By cutting out Fort Collins from the 2nd and adding it to the 4th you have made it difficult for the kind of representation desired by voters along the northern front range. Not only will this change make it difficult to elect the kind of representation desired by a majority of Fort Collins electorate but also threatens the kind of representation that is desired by the majority of other voters including those in Boulder County. By splitting off Fort Collins voters from district 2, you have effectively made it more difficult for those voters along the front range in the new district 2 to elect the kind of representation they desire. I urge you to add Fort Collins back into the 2nd congressional district. That is the only fair thing to do for the 2nd congressional district and for Fort Collins to be able to elect the kind of representation most voters desire. The proposed redistricting maps are an obvious revelation of the commission's attempt at gerrymandering. You have chosen to completely ignore the interests of rural Coloradans in favor of the Denver metro and other urban areas. Our interests are different, and we rural citizens deserve to have our voices heard in Congress as well as the state legislature.

This is a pure power grab and putting any part of the western slope with the east slope is crazy as the west slope will not get represented as it should.
