Wellington is connected to Fort Collins, Loveland and Berthoud by more than geographic location.
Shopping if not in Wellington’s small selection of stores are in Fort Collins, Loveland, Timnath and Johnstown.
Wellington is in the Boxelder Stormwater Authority along with Fort Collins and Larimer County.
Wellington’s Police Force is hired through Larimer County.
Wellington is in the same School District as Fort Collins and other Northern areas of Larimer County.
Please consider keeping Wellington in the same Congressional and Legislative Districts in Larimer County.

I want to share another reason that Archuleta County should not be separated from La Plata County in HD59 that I forgot to include with my prior comment. Archuleta and La Plata Counties are both served by the San Juan Basin Public Health Department and putting them into different House Districts will make it much harder for them to coordinate with their legislative representative on health policy issues going forward, whether we are dealing with Covid or any other health policy issue such as teen suicide, disease control, business advisories and orders, vaccination policies, food safety, environmental health, septic system safety, waste water treatment, and so many other common issues affecting the needs of the communities they serve. As a result of the Colorado Public Health Act of 2008, San Juan Basin Public Health is required to collect health data and input from community members and stakeholders and to create a Community Health Assessment (CHA) for Archuleta and La Plata counties. It simply makes no sense to have these two counties in different House Districts and would negatively impact the health needs of both counties.
Colorado State law requires each county to establish and maintain a county public health agency or participate in a district public health agency (C.R.S. §25-1-506). San Juan Basin Public Health was formed as a district public health agency through a joint resolution between La Plata County and Archuleta County. See https://sjbpublichealth.org/boardofhealth/

Don't split Broomfield up. We're a single community. Enough of subverting democracy by splitting the Democratic strongholds up - no more gerrymandering.

We have finally after years of supposed redevelopment with the Safeway Plaza... everyone should get a chance to benefit from that...please do not split the counties up.
I was thrilled when Broomfield became its own county ...that was the whole idea so we would not have to redo guideline restrictions.

Colorado Redistricting, please leave our Mountain towns to our own state’s congressional and legislative representatives and separate from Boulder or any other front range communities.
Boulder is a growing metropolitan community and our Mountain towns are not.
Our Mountain communities including Routt & Moffat counties are still small Mt agriculture communities which have been trying to maintain our independence. So that our interests , such as agriculture, hunting, skiing, tourism , and the rural way of life are represented fairly and to its fullest and best interest.
These communities are so different in so many ways combining our representatives is truly unjust and detrimental to our communities and long term goals.
Please keep our Mountain communities separate from the front range and Boulder

The most recent proposal has the community of Loveland in Congressional District 4. Loveland should be moved back into Congressional District 2 to maintain our community of interest with areas west of I-25. Loveland has strong economic ties with Estes Park (RMNP) and with Fort Collins (CSU), which are both in Congressional District 2. Loveland does not have strong economic ties with the communities in District 4. The Arkansas Valley should be moved back into Congressional District 4 with Weld and other Eastern rural communities. This would balance Loveland returning to CD2.

Comment:
I am writing to comment on Colorado Congressional Districts (Second Staff Plan).
The Second Staff Plan removes Loveland from CD2 and places it in CD4. Loveland is part of a natural community of interest with Ft. Collins, Berthoud, Longmont, Boulder and other cities and towns along the Front Range. These areas share not only geographic and climatic properties but also environmental, water use and other issues that define and affect life along the Front Range. Loveland is part and parcel with CD2 but has nothing in common with the ranching, agricultural and extractive industries in the predominantly rural CD4.
I request that the commission issue a Third Staff Plan that:
1. Reassigns Loveland from CD4 to CD2;
2. Balances the population of CD2 by reassigning a portion along its western edge to CD3; and
3. Balances the populations of CD3 and CD4 by reassigning the Arkansas Valley from CD3 to CD4.
Thank you for your consideration.
