Thank you so much for putting forth the September 23rd third staff plan map. Rural Colorado deserves a seat at the table and this map delivers that. This map includes contiguous geographic areas, has equal populations, preserves communities of interests, ensures Congressional districts are well represented! Thank you for your leadership in this area.

Thank you, Commissioners for drawing a version of that map that allows for representation that reflects the needs of our rural communities. We appreciate when we have representatives that can focus on the needs of the Western Slope.

The Third Staff Plan map shows Johnstown is completely within Congressional District 8, but the written memorandum says Johnstown is split between Congressional Districts 8 and 2. Which is correct? ???

Please let Western Colorado have its own district. We don’t need every district to touch the I25 corridor. My town of Gypsum has little in common with Boulder, please put us back into District 3.

I live in Avon Co and have nothing in common with Boulder. I want Eagle to remain rural(all of it) and not make us pawns for the cities to play with. We are always bouncing around with no good reason why we can’t remain as one county and tied to our rural roots of the West.

I feel strongly that the interests of the mountain communities do not align with the rifle/ grand junction areas of Colorado. I support the proposal which moves eagle county into the Boulder district which I do feel more closely aligns with our values and interests. Thank you, Traci

I think the Shuster map is by far the most preferable, as it creates the most competitive districts where voters voted will really count!

I am a Routt County resident of 34 years and a Colorado Native. The preliminary map was the best one presented. The map presented by Club 20 is good also. I totally disagree on the latest Congressional Map as all of our representation will now be decided by Boulder and the other front range areas included in District 2 simply due to their very high population concentration. We do not belong in this district as our concerns are not the same as the front range. We have water, they want our water. We are rural, they are urban. I am concerned that what I hold sacred will be dismissed by the front range counties, especially Boulder for at least the next ten years. This latest map is offensive to conservatives and moderates of all stripes. I want Congressional representation that will actually represent West Slope interests. The Senate legislative map is also a slap in the face to us. I notice you have taken a large part of Garfield County and carefully carving the city of Rifle out of Senate District 8 and put them in with Senate District 5 while moving Gilpin and Clear Creek and most of Eagle Counties into District 8, thereby removing Bob Rankin, our present State Senator out of our district and taking away our conservative voice. We are more that a ski area although Steamboat Springs proper only thinks of the ski tourists while the rest of the county is much more concerned with our western heritage of farming and ranching as well as our conservative fiscal values.

Comments just made by Commissioner Leone stating that only Broomfield neighborhoods east of Sheridan are impacted by oil and gas. In reality the neighborhoods most heavily impacted by oil and gas extraction are west of Sheridan. Respectfully, the Commissioner's logic argues against his conclusion. Thank you, Neil Allaire, speaking for myself

I am very concerned about the redistricting of Otero county. We are a farm and livestock area and we DO NOT belong with western Colorado. They have totally different means of making a living. WE BELONG in the eastern and north eastern area..that will be much more compatable with what is our means to make a living. My feelings are keep Otero with like counties. South East and North East counties, Thank you Carolyn
