Fort Collins should not be separated by north and south. We share two large student populations in a state university and community college. These populations have common needs and interests that deserve to be represented. We share a city center, city governance, and common cause with the foothills to the west, since we are all effected by the floods and fires that have that will continue to impact the entire city. Therefore government needs to represent this "place" as a whole in order to do it justice. I suggest you change the map to reflect our common interests. Once you fragment the city, you also fragment the cohesiveness of our much needed representation at the state and federal level.

I like staff map #3 Fort Collins should be aligned with Boulder as our communities are similar.

Please keep Fort Collins in CD2 with Boulder. Fort Collins and Grand Junction are not a community of interest and should not be in the same district. I strongly support map #3. Thank You.

I oppose redistricting Larimer county with Grand Junction. Our county aligns much more with Boulder County as we both have the states largest research universities. Our communities also have similar economies in high tech and tourism. We also have shared interests in mitigating climate change, housing, transportation and social justice. Please keep us with Boulder county so our representatives understand our community’s needs.

Hello, I'm writing to express concern about the most recent Legislative Map released Sept 23rd. This map does take into account some of the comments many of us expressed in our feedback session several weeks ago, and yet, there are several PERPLEXING issues that I cannot understand and they do not make sense, such as: Why was the stair stepping done which seems to break up neighborhoods between two districts? It is detrimental to break the foothills neighborhoods between two districts. This is a HUGE concern with fire prevention, and school districts, and roads and only stands to hurt these areas. We need to keep school bus routes and attendance areas together, and this is the worst time to split these-- we are short staffed with teachers, bus drivers & keeping our education system together during this terrible pandemic time. Please Please Please don't break these areas up Why break up CSU and Front Range Community College between districts 52 and 53? There are so many areas of connection and work being done to help students move on to CSU from Front Range Community college. Funding areas, library areas and research needs your help holding these two areas together. Let's preserve whole communities, school districts, and help them hold together and support our students. These fractures in the districting only stand to break up Fort Collins. Considering that successful students and higher education institutions HELP our communities and our wonderful state, I propose that these fractures in Fort Collins be stitched together. Thank you, Redistricting Commission, for listening. Appreciatively, Diane Campbell 1105 E. Lake Place Fort Collins, CO 80524

Congressional Redistricting Commissioners, Thank you for revising the Second Congressional Map and producing the Third Congressional Staff Map. The Third Map is much improved from the Second Map. It is important to keep the Western Slope whole as a community of interest and allowing it to speak with one voice. Mixing Western Slope Counties with Front Range Counties not only dilutes our rural voices, it suppresses them by allowing big-monied Front Range interests to dominate rural Colorado. Please keep the September 23, 2021 Third Staff Map as the Final Congressional Redistricting Map. Thank you.

Please keep Fort Collins in CD2 with Boulder. I support staff map #3. We have similar interests with Boulder and collaborate well together. Fort Collins should NOT be in the same district as Grand Junction, which is too far away and completely different issues.

I serve on the Fort Collins City Council but I am writing you today as a member of our community. I am asking you to keep Fort Collins in District 2 with Boulder as in Staff Map 3 rather than redistricting our City with Grand Junction. Fort Collins and Boulder are home to the major research universities in our state; they share similar cultures and economic sectors including tech, tourism and healthcare; they are both gateways to Rocky Mountain National Park and they have many areas of overlapping federal policy objectives. As for Fort Collins and Grand Junction, these two cities have very different public policy objectives and do not make up communities of interest. We collaborate regionally with Boulder to work on issues including climate action, housing, water, multimodal transportation and wildfire mitigation. If kept together in the Second we can make progress on these important public policy issues.

We have lived in Edwards, Colorado full time for 21 years and 4 years part time after moving from Denver. We are strongly opposing to this redistricting. My husband, Dr. Joel Kaye, lived in Boulder county for a few years before our move to Eagle County. These 2 counties are very different and under no circumstances should they be combined. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT APPROVE THIS REDISTRICING PLAN.

You have heard from me before. I do not like Loveland and eastern Larimer County included in District 4. I support either the Moore or Tafoya amendments to the Third staff plan. (I cannot tell what the Kelly amendment does-I can't access the map without a login) Ron Steinbach
