I strongly urge you to reject partisan attempts at gerrymandering such as the proposals supported by Barnett and Kottwitz. Colorado deserves maps drawn by nonpartisan staffers to represent our value system and our people honestly and fairly. To degrade our state is to betray our citizens.

Hello, I am satisfied with the final approved map and am urging the commission not to allow any last minute changes to the map to be pushed through. In the interest of transparency and fairness stick with this final approved map. Reject Commissioners Barnett and Kottwitz efforts to change the map without time for public comment or transparency. The Legislative Redistricting Commission has received a final set of maps designed to ensure fair representation for Colorado citizens for several years to come. But at the last minute, Republican Commissioners are lobbying to put through a new set of maps designed strictly to guarantee Republican election victories through gerrymandering. The Republican party has not lifted a finger to propose meaningful legislation for our state. All they care about is looking for ways to win votes so that they can defeat any attempt to produce meaningful legislation and promote their party's ongoing lies that its votes are getting stolen. The Commission's job is to create fair representation for both parties, and its members need to reject back room schemes to override the time honored procedures of our democracy.

Do not permit the Republican redistricting commissioners Barnett and Kottwitz to distort this process and gerrymander the maps so that Republicans control the legislature in Colorado.

As a Colorado voter, I am commenting to ask that you---as an apolitical board assigned the task of redrawing the maps for our districts---make absolutely sure that the maps are created as transparently as possible and that you will reject all attempts by outside parties to skew the maps politically.
