Any attempt by r’s to change months of work by the commission should be stopped dead in their tracks. Trying to change votes in their favor is simply wrong. And, Those legislators should resign

Gerrymandering need to stop. Please ensure that an independent commission is in charge of any districting efforts.

If this statement by the Colorado Democrats is accurate or substantially accurate:
"Republican legislative Redistricting Commissioners Hunter Barnett (R) and Aislinn Kottwitz (R) are working with non-disclosing and unregistered GOP operatives lobbying to shove through a last-minute set of maps to the Supreme Court that would fundamentally alter the make-up of the state senate and house, almost certainly ensuring control for Colorado Republicans over the next decade."
Then I am here to register my opposition to their attempts at gerrymandering. I want the INDEPENDENT commission's maps, NOT maps altered by two Republicans to favor Republicans.

I am not happy that commissioners Barnett and Kottwitz are trying to gerrymander the Colorado Senate and House. This would be unfair to the voters of Colorado.

Comment:
The commission has prioritized competitiveness over communities of interest. This is wrong in a state that increasingly votes for Democrats. The current map does not accurately reflect Colorado's demographic and political changes over the past ten years, and instead gives Republicans an unfair advantage in a state where they are losing support for their policies. Focusing on making each district as close as possible to a toss up relieves Republicans of their responsibility to win hearts and minds with their ideas.

I urge you to take a stand for transparency by rejecting any maps that could be tarnished by the ongoing, unreported lobbying to gerrymander legislative districts for the GOP.
Please reject maps being pushed by Commissioners Barnett and Kottwitz and support maps drawn by nonpartisan staff!

Comment:
I am very concerned to hear that Republican Legislative Redistricting Commissioners Hunter Barnett and Aislinn Kottwitz have been working with non-disclosed and unregistered GOP lobbyists to push through a last-minute set of maps to fundamentally change Colorado’s State House and Senate districts in an unwarranted attempt to guarantee Republican control over the state legislature for the next decade. These maps are completely contrary to the intent of the voters who passed the redistricting measures and to the criteria spelled out in the Colorado Constitution. These Commissioners are shamefully attempting to make a travesty of everything the Independent Redistricting Commissions were intended to do. I urge the Commission to reject the maps being pushed by Commissioners Barnett and Kottwitz and instead support the maps drawn by nonpartisan staff. I am also requesting that an investigation be completed regarding these lobbyists’ interference in what is supposed to be a non-partisan effort to fairly draw competitive districts that respect the Voting Rights Act and meet the constitutional requirements set forth for the Redistricting Commission members. I would also like the collusion of Commissioners Barnett and Kottwitz with these operatives to be investigated.
