Who is on the commission for redistricting, what are the requirements and how is it determined that they will be impartial? It looks to me like the Republicans are up to their old tricks and trying to equalize heavily democratic regions. I’m independent so I dislike all politicians equally, until 2016. Because right and wrong matters to me! The intention was to have independent commissions to make IMPARTIAL mapping. That’s not occurring and I wonder if we now need to sue to protect our rights here. Eastern Colorado should not include Boulder, Fort Collins, or any city whose population totals more than our side of the state. That means we lose our voices and we do not want decisions made for us from people who know nothing about our lifestyle on the plains.

I, Jenny L. Sunderwirth of 80125 Roxborough, Colorado live in Douglas County. Here is my input: 1. I do not affiliate or have interests with rural Douglas County. Roxborough shops and works mostly north in Highlands Ranch and Littleton. Fact: My Roxborough Address is ALSO LITTLETON COLORADO! 2. I fully support splitting Douglas County. I was a campaign manager. I have toured Douglas and Teller counties. NW Douglas Co is more akin to JEFFCO or ARAPAHOE. The North is either Parker or Castles. The South and East aren't like us. We certainly have nothing in common with TELLER or PARK. Teller Co people affiliate with the Springs. We don't even have the same news stations. 3. I fully support competitive districting. That is why we passed the XYZ amendments. 4. Please unsplit the 102/105 precincts in Roxborough PARK. We cannot even enter Ravenna. There's a gate and precinct leads were refused entry. Jenny L. The first map released several weeks ago for the 3rd CD was so much better than the one just released. The new proposed map takes away the voice of the Western Slope of Colorado. With regard to the 2ndCD... what do those counties on the Western Slope have in common with Boulder? Nothing. This map is not good for Colorado.With regard to Congressional Districts... Go back to the first map submitted for review.

Hello, I'm emailing regarding the redistricting summarized here: "State House Changes: In these proposed changes, the residences of South City Park are split into two sections. Residences from the west side of Steele to York will be in District 5 (green) and residences from the east side of Steele to Colorado Blvd will be in District 4 (purple). South City Park is currently in state House District 8." I do not believe that South City Park should be split into 2 different districts. As a small neighborhood that is heavily impacted by changes along main corridors, unhoused members of our community we should not lose our ability to vote with a strong voice and splitting the neighborhood in two diminishes the responsibility of each "new" district representative to fight for our collective needs. It's irresponsible and continues to promote a lack of care for our small neighborhood that often gets ignored. Please put all of south city park in ONE district. I write to urge the Commission to reject the Congressional District map that was proposed on September 3rd. I was very pleased when the original map finally consolidated the west slope as a logical community of interest and encourage the Commission to return to that type of configuration. I have lived in Grand County since 2014 and have always felt unrepresented because Grand County's is in District 2 which is dominated by Boulder. Grand County is essentially rural, and we share common interests with other rural counties on the west slope and not with Boulder. One need look no further than the 2020 election results on Proposition 114 (wolf introduction west of the continental divide). According to the counties' election results posted on their websites, Boulder voted 67.81% for, while Grand County voted 64.18% against. As I understand it, the initiative passed because of support from the Front Range counties, which will not have to bear any of the burdens of the result. Colorado politics (both federal and state) are now dominated by the counties along the Front Range. Providing the west slope with one congressional district will allow our increasingly overwhelmed voices to be heard and our communities and values to be represented. Congressional Redistricting Staff: I've listened to several of the meetings and the issue of Communities of Interest is discussed in many different ways. When I saw the Planning and Management Regions 080921 Marchino attachment map, it appears to me that those regions are created around already defined, and demonstrate, real community interests. Therefore, it appears that it would be helpful to utilize those boundaries where possible, combining regions where it is appropriate or you have to, and maintaining the population numbers as required. Otherwise, it appears to me that the committee member who speaks up the most/loudest and is able to convince others, is able to win the argument on what constitutes Communities of Interest. Commissioners; I am writing today to oppose the current Redistricting Plan that you have come up with for the State of Colorado. It appears that the you have decided to put the interest of the Democratic Party ahead of the People of Colorado. Instead of retaining the Western Slope, Central Mountains, Front Range and Eastern Planes along with Bolder, Denver, Fort Collins, Colorado Springs and Pueblo as distinct areas of Colorado, they have been mixed and matched ( jury rigged ) to fit the desires of the Democratic Party and only the Democratic Party. You need to go back to the drawing board and come up with a better plan that does not redistrict only Republican U.S. Rep. Lauren Boebert. P.S. What do Garfield, Grand, Moffat, Rio Blanco, Routt, Summit have to do with Boulder, Larimer and Weld Counties? Sincerely

Why does rural Colorado not have equal representation with the I25 corridor? Almost all representation comes from Metro Denver, which does not represent the needs of the rest of the state. There should be adequate representation of this states ag population, along with the energy sector.
