I am writing to ask that you seriously consider NOT splitting Boulder County into three separate Congressional Districts. It is important to maintain our Communities of Interest together. Boulder communities share interests in several areas and must work together to make progress on significant problems: - environmental initiatives such as climate goals and response to the related natural disasters such as wildfires and floods. -the towns in Boulder County must work together on transportation goals - public health, housing and employment concerns are more evident today with the pandemi finally -Gun safety is an issue that must be addressed consistently Thank you for your consideration. I am not sure of what game is trying to be played here but this map is ridiculous. The rural areas are no where near properly represented and it is apparently a scam to get democrat voters. This NOT Colorado. The majority of the state does not want this kind of corruption (except the Denver/Boulder type areas. The state of Colorado is not like those areas. We have pride and strong conservative traditions. Get it FIXED!!

Hello, I have been watching the maps with dismay as each attempt "packs" one district or another. I was amazed to see a wise compromise published by the Grand Junction Daily Sentinel that keeps the Western Slope intact and lets us focus on what unites us instead of what divides us. A unified western slope district is fair and allows that representative to focus on the vital issues of public lands and water at the federal level. These are the critical issues that have different priorities for this region of Colorado. A map like one proposed by the Sentinel allows western Colorado to look toward a common future that focuses on empowered representation. Many thanks for your work Charles

As a resident of Lafayette, we share many community Interests with Boulder, including environmental concerns, transportation issues, and housing costs. Climate change has affected all these communities. It would seem preferable to maintain Boulder county in one congressional district. That said, Longmont, Lafayette, Louisville and Erie share much in common. Values and interests are very different east of I-25 than west of I-25. In east Boulder county, preserving open space, reducing carbon and methane emissions and promoting clean energy are very important, as well as promoting access to health care, reducing gun violence, improving air quality. We share these concerns with Boulder. While public land preservation as well as access to affordable housing are concerns in Boulder and mountain communities, ski industry and ranchers have different interests. The western slope often has different interests than Boulder and Larimer Counties. I like the idea of the Southern District. Please leave Lafayette and Louisville in the same congressional district as Boulder.

The 2nd Staff plan is Totally Unacceptable to Southen Colorado, Please read the PDF Document that demands fairness for Southern Color and demand that you, The Independent Colroado Congressional Commisssion adhere to your mandate and redistrict Colorado's Congressional Districts in an unbias fashion and without political influence, whicn the 2nd Staff plan is total void of. As the map is currently drawn, Boulder County is separated. I am writing to encourage you to redefine this and have Boulder County represented by one congressional district. Boulder County shares the values of slowing climate change, addressing the pandemic, improving transportation, investing in public services, and putting smart rules in place to support gun safety. This is a critical time that this community maintains unified representation. Please don't take that away.

As a resident of the West Slope I think that the Mesa County Daily Sentinel ideal map is a good compromise redistricting map. Please take a look at and consider the Mesa County Daily Sentinel's attempt at drawing a fair map. It keeps the West Slope whole and creates a truly competitive District 3. It also includes many of the things that people testified in favor of and also fixes many of the objections brought up during public testimony. You can see the map at: https://www.gjsentinel.com/ideal-redistricting-map/pdf_e51b3cde-1266-11ec-8269-ffaefa2f2d12.html Thank you for your consideration.

I am not sure why you would think that it’s okay to include a high population area with our rural farm country. La Plata county’s vote is always over run by the votes in the city. We’ve lost our voice, and this map that you’ve proposed is NOT helping rural Colorado in the least.
