I believe my community in Fort Collins has interests that align more with urban areas (clean energy, tech industry, large university, tourism) than more rural/agricultural areas. I was born and grew up in the Eastern Plains of Colorado, and including the city of Fort Collins with counties representative of those communities, which I believe have very different public policy and legislative interests, makes very little sense to me, having lived the majority of my life in both.

I would like to thank the committee for all of their hard work and for listening to us. I am very much in favor of the new map as it reflects a lot more shared community values than the first map. I would very much like to see it as the final CD3.

Personally I Oppose the map presented for redistricting The western slope is not represented by the Denver metro area including Boulder County our views on freedom personal liberty vary From that in the Eastern slope and Denver metro area I personally I am tired of being represented by the Democratic liberal progressive party Of Boulder County The presented map is not representative of the western slope and Grand County Thank you for your time

I feel that the current proposed district map does a good job of representing may interests. Thanks

Thank you for making my CD representative of our front range mountain community. Also for keeping Park County whole. This is democracy at work and striving for a 50-50 representation of Republicans and Democrats. Thank you for listening to public comments and doing this vital work.

I urge you to more strongly weight the needs of rural Colorado and change your maps to reflect this already underrepresented portion of our state. The needs of rural residents are vastly different than those of our urban fellows; PLEASE do not allow a small geography largely out of sync with life outside of the urban corridor to decide the fates of the rest of the state facing vastly different issues. Thank you for your consideration.

Sounds great! Keep Park County whole and evenly divides Democrats and Republicans.

Keep Grand County on the current district please, as it fits best our county’s nature of community. Grand County is a 4 season community resort and growing all its towns’ population with year-round residents and second home owners at fast pace, new business increasing steadily as well. Grand County is not at all predominantly a rural community. Thanks Yolanda

This email is in opposition to the proposed redistricting that will have the effect of eliminating meaningful representation to the rural western slope Colorado residents. Colorado is very diverse. The needs, interests, families and employment of rural western Colorado is vastly different from metro areas. Our lives in the rural part of the state are often governed by tourism and agriculture. The interests are significantly different from metro area residents. The daily lives of people in rural Colorado are different. Many of our emergency services are volunteer, our roads are open, public transportation is limited or non-existent, natural disasters such as wild fires and floods are a real life threat. Our outlook and attitudes are different. Yesterday my husband was driving home from taking care of the horses at the ranch, he saw a man walking down the road in orange carrying an AR style rifle. My husband waived at the man who smiled and waived back. My husband’s thought was only that he hoped the man knew of the large mountain lion who lives in the area. This interaction and outlook would obviously not be the same in Boulder. The current map will strip western Colorado from any meaningful representation. Please respect and address the consistent strong statements at the hearing at the Steamboat Springs meeting where the speakers emphasized their alignment with Eagle County, and not with Boulder County, and draw a map that provides meaningful representation for all citizens, not just the urban residents. Thank you, Nancy Adam

I really love the new redistricting map -- you clearly have taken public comments into account, which is so awesome. We now have a front range mountain district that is apart from the western slope and you have kept Park County whole, with an even split between Republican and Democratic voters -- truly showing democracy. Thank you so much!!!!
