Dear Commissioners:
I would ask the commissioners to reject maps being submitted by Hunter Barnett and Aislinn Kottwitz as they are an attempt to gerrymander the Colorado Senate and House in favor of Republican candidates.
Sincerely,
Patricia McLaughlin

I urge you to reject partisan gerrymandered maps being pushed by Commissioners Barnett and Kottwitz and support maps drawn by nonpartisan staff.

Please don't let partisan cheating destroy the great state of Colorado. We all contributed to the redistricting with good faith because it was non-partisan. Please reject the Barnett and Kottwitz maps.

I have been so proud of the way the Independent Redistricting Committee has operated up to now. The current Republican legislative Redistricting Commissioners Hunter Barnett (R) and Aislinn Kottwitz (R) are trying to shove through a last-minute set of maps to the Supreme Court that would fundamentally alter the make-up of the state senate and house, almost certainly ensuring control for Colorado Republicans over the next decade. This is a mockery of everything that Independent Redistricting Commissions are meant to stand for.Thank you.

Commissioners Hunter Barnett and Aislinn Kottwitz are trying to pull a fast one. The alternate maps suggested by these two are at odds to the the maps submitted to the commission as a whole by the non partisan staff. Consideration of these maps violates the letter and spirit of Amendments Y and Z.

We must have fair and balanced (actual not gaslighting and lies) redistricting. Please reject maps being pushed by Commissioners Barnett and Kottwitz and support maps drawn by nonpartisan staff.

Comment:
I support redistricting maps created by the full, independent/non-partisan redistricting commission.
However, I do not support attempts by commissioners Barnett & Kottwitz to gerrymander these maps in favor of the GOP. Commissioners Barnett & Kottwitz apparently have a lot of gall, to make such an obvious attempt at voter suppression.

I ask that you reject any maps that could be tarnished by the ongoing, unreported lobbying to gerrymander legislative districts for the GOP. Please reject maps being pushed by Commissioners Barnett and Kottwitz and support maps drawn by nonpartisan staff.
I would also have much preferred to have my House District 9B remain within Denver instead of being "shotgun married" to areas of Arapahoe County with which my area has very little in common. But that concern is overshadowed by the 11th hour gerrymandering attempt by Comms. Barnett and Kottiwtz. Let's keep this process nonpartisan.

Comment:
It is my understanding that the legislative redistricting staff have proposed a set of legislative maps to the Commission that would be fair and representative. It is my further understanding that Commissioners Barnett and Kottwitz are pushing revisions to these maps, backed by non-disclosing political groups and unregistered operatives representing republican interests, to try to maximize republican advantage in this process. The voters of Colorado enacted the redistricting commission process expressly to remove this kind of partisan game-playing from redistricting. I urge the commission to stick to the staff maps, rather than giving in to partisan gerrymandering efforts by undisclosed, unreported interests. All legislative districts should be nearly equal in population, fairly represent communities of interest to the greatest extent possible, be drawn without regard to maximizing any party advantage or disadvantaging any party, and competitive.
