Please use the independent commission maps to redistrict the state of Colorado. Do not let a Hunter Barnett and Aislinn Kottwitz, republican partisans push through their set of maps. Thank you.

In Colorado we have non-partisan, neutral redistricting staff research changes in demographics/ interests over the preceding decade and base recommendations for any changes in districting on fact not POLITICS for good reason. The purpose of redistricting is to adjust for changes in population over 10 years and to realign as needed interest e.g. agriculture, tourism areas, mining, etc which often changes with population shifts. Though redistricting has been wrongly used all over our country for particular political party gains this is completely immoral and unintended by our founding leaders! To prevent such gerrymandering is why we have Independent Redistricting Commissions! Those individuals who push partisan redistricting - gerrymandering- need to have their efforts rejected for their violation of our founding leaders push for balance and freedom for all and because they are only acting in their personal self-interest rather than the interest of all the citizens of Colorado. The efforts of Hunter Barnett and Aislinn Kottwitz need to be stopped cold and the recommendations of the non-partisan, neutral redistricting staff implemented. Additionally, Barnett and Kottwitz are reportedly working with non-disclosing, unregistered Republican lobbyists/ operatives to try to force the State Supreme Court to accept their gerrymandered maps over the non-partisan, neutral maps submitted by the non-partisan, neutral staff. This effort from Barnett and Kottwitz needs to be rejected! Thank you.

Please reject Barnett and Kottwitz's gerrymandering - their maps are a blatant attempt to ensure Republican control of the house and senate for years to come. What we independents would like to see is fair representation for all voters in all districts.

I am voicing my support and strong preference for the 3rd Staff Plan Map! I am vehemently opposed to Republican legislative Redistricting Commissioners Hunter Barnett (R) and Aislinn Kottwitz (R) are working with non-disclosing and unregistered GOP operatives lobbying to shove through a last-minute set of maps to the Supreme Court that would fundamentally alter the make-up of the state senate and house, almost certainly ensuring control for Colorado Republicans over the next decade. This is a mockery of everything that Independent Redistricting Commissions are meant to stand for.

Hunter Barnett and Aislinn Kottwitz are attempting to gerrymander the Colorado Senate and House legislative maps. Stand for transparency of any unreported lobbying to gerrymander legislative districts for Republicans. This is a chance to show the world Colorado is not like Texas trying to destroy voter participation. We need to do better. Make democracy work for our children.

I have just learned that, after non partisan staff submitted their final draft of redistricting maps on Tuesday, Republican Representatives Barnett and Kottwitz are looking to derail this forthright process by submitting their own maps. Please stand firm behind the process of nonpartisanship so that Colorado may be represented as a true reflection of our citizenry. Thank you.
