I want to deepen my participation in our democratic process by understanding, and contributing to our redistricting process. I want to lend the voices of my experience as a Native Coloradan, working professional and invested community- member to this important process. I want to serve my state and help align its' changing needs.
Professionally I am tasked daily with driving organizational results that require balance between differing parties, viewpoints and objectives. Striking this balance is never easy. Clearly understanding different perspectives before prescribing solutions is critical to my role and this skill helps me to build better consensus around solutions. Further, I frequently am tasked with driving effective adoption of organizational changes after implementation, which requires ongoing understanding of different needs and challenges. These experiences help me to create and communicate a more fair set of options. The analytical approach required here further helps me to provide fair, balanced proposals for audiences to evaluate in corporate and non-profit volunteer settings.
My background is in number crunching, or finance, so I tend toward quantitative analysis. Additionally, my later professional training focused on considering qualitative analysis including change impacts to stakeholder groups and prescribing options to help drive change adoption. Logic and reason are key drivers of these types of analysis for me.
