I have worked in the House of Delegates representing Colorado at the American Academy of Physician Assistants, and served on the Legislative Affairs Committee of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants.
I think that equitable and fair districts are essential to a functioning democracy in which everyone receives just representation. I love my state and want to be a part of creating a balanced and non-partisan solution and avoiding gerrymandering in our state.
I value the opinions of others and believe that through discussion and debate, it is possible to arrive at a consensus, even with those who hold different political views. In my role as a healthcare provider, it is of utmost importance to be fair, impartial, and nonjudgmental of patients: approach the problem with an open mind, use logical reasoning, data, and clinical judgement to arrive at a diagnosis. I believe I can approach this process in the same way.
I have a Masters in a STEM field and significant training in quantitative analysis and logical reasoning. In my work in medicine, I am required to evaluate situations and make objective judgments based on data and guidelines dozens of times per day.
