Adoption Exchange, Tennyson Center, Gateway on Mt Zion food bank, misc others
I had children later in life. That gave me in interest and involvement in the community. I volunteer for anything that needs and can use my help. It may be for a short or long time depending on how I can contribute. I've been very involved in Lakewood HS events, Adoption Exchange, CASA, Tennyson Center Volunteer, various food banks, meals on wheels delivery, local drives within the community, contribute financially to Ronald McDonald House, Salvation Army, NPR, PBS, Arvada Center, Nami, Grand Cty Fund, others as needs arise.
I found the possibility interesting and an opportunity to learn more about how our government works. I believe that I can contribute to the process.
I'm old. I've seen a lot of changes in my 74 years. I've never been very political but have always paid attention to the candidates and the issues. I try to educate myself on both sides and prepare to make a conscientious decision. I have been both a registered Democrat and Republican. Currently, my plan is to reregister as an independent now that the election is over. I believe in fairness and wish that there were a news source where just the facts could be obtained and we could arrive at our own decisions/conclusions.
I have been self employed since 1985. And, rather successfully. That is the skill set I have to offer.
