I volunteered in various political campaigns and school district elections, I donated small amounts to Teresa Greenfield, Joe Biden, Democratic Senate Committee,Beto O’Rourke, Democratic Attorney General Association and Jackie Rosen.
ACLU, Littleton Immigration and Resource Center, Mi Familia Vota, Denver Botanic Gardens, Colorado Cactus and Succulent Society and Roxborough Resistance
As a volunteer I have taught classes and individuals seeking citizenship. I have done voter registration with the Democratic Party, Voto Latino and Mi Familia Vota. During various elections including school district, local, state and national elections, I have helped write letters to parents, performed lit drops, and made phone calls.
I believe that the Latino community should have representation in this Commission. Redistricting will have a significant impact on their daily lives with regards to employment, education, access to services and their general well being.
I understand that individuals and communities have different views and needs. I believe in finding common ground and I am willing to compromise to achieve the greater good for all.
First I seek all relevant information in order to assess the needs, the solutions and impact of a decision. Information from data, statistics, studies and personal testimonies will all be needed to produce districts that do not negatively impact communities of interest.
