Fairness is a key element in our democratic process. As a PCO I apply the law and regulations and compare it to each organizations policies and proposals - then negotiate to make sure that their process and policies are within the law and regulatory requirements.
I've worked in the private sector before working in government - I've seen both sides, I know what motivates different parties and I can formulate compromises that will bring two differing opinions together.
The start of my current job is always analytical analysis, then discussing perspectives with others develops motivation and from there I can easily assist others in identifying the best advantages for each party. It is simply understanding peoples motivations and implementing fairness. Of course, having multiple children for over 20 years assists in developing a solution to any conflict.
