I have represented farmers and young farmer interests through my work with the National Young Farmers Coalition. I currently support efforts to find affordable land for farmers and ranchers. As a member of the Chaffee County Local Foods Coalition, my work is in community engagement and outreach. I represent our community to improve food access in the Central Colorado region.
I want to serve on the commission because I want to represent the people of Colorado and ensure that all citizens are represented fairly.
I will promote consensus by listening closely to all parties, using sound judgement and focusing on facts. I will work to find common ground among the commissioners by listening to and reflecting on information shared. I will ask questions that can provoke more thoughtful consideration in the case of disagreements. I am able to act with fairness by looking at situations objectively and considering all information provided. I strive for equity and fairness in my work and leadership roles by observing situations, gathering facts, and separating opinions from facts.
I have been trained in research and analysis through my graduate work in environmental management. My current work involves continued research and gathering of information in order to provide recommendations for those looking for agricultural land. As a soccer coach, I analyze and assess situations in order to provide relevant feedback for player an team development.
