I have advocated for property rights in Colorado Springs.
Colorado Springs Short Term Rental Alliance Guide Dogs for the Blind - Colorado Springs Wild Blue Cat Rescue - Colorado Springs
As a member of the Colorado Short Term Rental Alliance, I advocated for private property rights by writing city council members and by testifying at council meetings to the benefits of short term rentals for our community. My goal was to demonstrate the ways in which short term rentals can not only operate responsibly and in harmony with the surrounding community but also contribute and improve the community.
I love Colorado and the people who live here. There seems to be a growing distrust towards the government and I would like to play a part in rebuilding trust between the community and government. Trust starts with feeling heard and represented in the election districts.
I will commit to being a diplomatic listener and strive to understand all opinions without bias with the goal of reaching an agreement that benefits the common good. As a property manager who screens potential tenants I very much understand the importance of being fair or impartial as I must follow The Fair Housing Act. As a citizen redistricting commissioner I will bring the same mindset of impartiality that I use when screening tenants.
As a property manager and real estate investor, I regularly analyze current economic conditions, neighborhoods, potential for profit, budgets, adjusting my approach as needed and work with tenants to create win-win solutions.
