Megan Catherine Leddy
I am a real estate agent working for Redfin.
I have a BA in Political Science
I donated money to Elizabeth Warren in the primary in 2020 and I donated to Obama before as well.
For the last ten years or so I have worked with a loose organization in my neighborhood to promote the historic architecture of the homes we live in. My home has been featured in magazines, newspaper, and online. We were part of the pilot program for the Discover Denver Program.
Redistricting is one of the most important aspects of our democracy. Unfair gerrymandering of districts has eroded voters faith in the system and the value of their vote. Districts should be drawn to reflect the citizens therein, not the political outcome leaders may want.
I worked for 2 years for the Office of Legislative Legal Service for the Colorado General Assembly which is a non-partisan office. Even if you have strong political beliefs, as I do, it is perfectly possible to work in a non-partisan manner with people from all political parties. Redistricting should be non-partisan, so working with others is key to make sure that districts are reflective of all citizens.
For many years I worked in media analyzing data and demographics to create media buys that would match the needs of advertisers. In real estate I have to run comps and analyze the data of comparable homes to determine the value of a property. Clients often want me to analyze neighborhood real estate trends to determine if they believe they are making a sound investment.
