Organization and Advocacy Experience

As a PTA president I pulled our community together to support the school my daughter attended. I pulled diverse groups together to involve all members of the school community to work for the betterment of our community.

Statement

I would like to serve on the commission to provide a fair voice. I feel I am a great listener and can pull together different opinions to get to a final product. I want to make sure the districts fit the community interest. All voices should be taken into consideration.

Statement on Working with Consensus

Every story has two sides. One may be delivered louder and more forcefully. I believe that just because you are more forceful, it does not necessarily mean that is the correct answer. There are many grey areas in life and to find clarity both sides of an issue must be heard.

Relevant Analytic Skills for Commission

I would gather as much information as possible and make the best informed decision based on that information. The noise that accompanies many discussions need to be blotted out so the real information can be interpreted.
