In my work with Arvadans for Progressive Action, we focus mostly on voter education on issues and ballot initiatives and candidates that impact Arvadans. I believe fair representation is foundational to our democracy. I believe I can be a voice promoting fair and equal representation for all people in the state of Colorado.

Statement on Working with Consensus

I believe so strongly in the right for every person in this state to feel seen, heard and represented in the political process. I do not agree with any political side opting for more representation than anyone else and because of that, I think I can be a voice for consensus and collaboration. I have been part of many consensus-based-decision-making organizations and believe everyone deserves a voice and to be heard; even if I have a different opinion or disagree.

Relevant Analytic Skills for Commission

As a graduate school professor, I pride myself on using critical thinking skills to assess any and all situations/issues. I like to explore all points of view, seek out relevant and balanced information before making a decision and talk ideas out with people around me - those who might agree or disagree. I think critical thinking and thoughtful engagement is essential to a democracy.
